You are in the friend zone. And, people say, a woman really wants a man who is her best friend. Many times, the Chemistry is not there.

I believe in putting all the cards on the table, life is too short to have to wonder what if I said this or did that! *whispers..did you hear that? as long as one is willing to accept the risks that goes with that, that's OK but I think some do not adequaetly weigh the risks to prepare themselves to accept rejection |

That is the paradox she wants a man who is her best friend but her best friend is in the friend zone. So now to move from the friend zone into the hot zone and then you've got something - if that's possible. |

I dunno dude, sounds like she has already made the call. I'm not even going to read what people wrote, this quote is what I had in mine right away and at a glance down the page I see another sort sweet one. You can tell a woman but you can't tell her much..lol.no seriously if you were able to baffle her with Bull Sh* it would be short lived your not her chose or preference. don't ya know man! womam pick. I herd you talkin about Vancouver island? I'm guessing your weren't raised there. Peace out Women don't always pick, some guys have lots of women to pick from and same the other way. Women love to be pursued, properly that is, even if she says no it still feels good to have the option. As long as its not creepy. Why do you guess I wasn't raised on the island? Yes, a suppose I did pursue a couple of my girlfriend if you want to count a striper & a bartender, if throwing them money and buying them shots counts.other than that a just dont have any success story's as far as viable relationships go, ive just found that they general just friend zone you. as they would of given you an inviting smile to begin with, I dont do cold calls, sure if she's shy and she did give you the signal then a would presue her for sure. The island thing.....I grew up there , cant recall anybody chasing woman unless its 2:00am drunk woman do a lap in a club with 100 men and walk out the door til they see that guy. not my experience anyways. .maybee you have different avenues? Is that Cumberland in your user name? Peace |

I have more male than female friends, and every now and then between girlfriends, one of them will get it in their head that since we get along well as friends we could discuss if an attraction exists and possibly give it a go.
Here's the thing...when I become close enough with any male acquaintance to call him a good friend....I've already considered that possibility and found no attraction...vibe...connection...possible on my part, or he would have been made aware a long time ago that I had an interest in him. That's why we invented flirting for silly. |

If you want to have a relationship with her, then only one way to move it along, flirt. Otherwise some other guy will end up flirting with her before you've even started. You don't want to regret never flirting with her, if you really want her. Why wait?

I'd say cut your losses and move on. If she's going to play with your feelings that much, she isn't worth it. And this is just once. Suppose that you do win her back? Somewhere along the line she will play your heartstrings again. You want to live like that?
Climb aboard your bike and head for the hills. |

That is the paradox she wants a man who is her best friend but her best friend is in the friend zone. So now to move from the friend zone into the hot zone and then you've got something - if that's possible. Yes, I believe it is possible. It happened to me and I've been married to him for 20 years. Yes, we took a risk to move from friendship to lovers. We lucked out! It worked. there are a lot of naysayers on here, and they have a point. It seems that the primary reason given for not making a move is fear/pain. If you can handle those, then it is worth it to test the waters. Find out if the chemistry is there. Because if it is - yowzer! Also, I don't think it is bad to try to go back to someone you've had a connection with. You've had a chance to grow and change since then. Sometimes, being away from someone for a while, clarifies things, too. When I was in high school, I had a crush on a fellow older than me. He refused to date me. We remained friends. Two years later, when I was in Grade 12, he came back for me. It was completely and totally romantic and we got another chance. I didn't end up marrying him -lol- but we did do very well together. "Nothing ventured, nothing gained." Only you know what's in your heart. All the best! Love is magic, and I don't care what anyone else says- life is better with it, than without it. |
