I was cursed with a cheating husband...which precluded our having
children...but I've always had animals (mostly dogs).

Currently there are 3 Afghan Hounds (Phantom is 13, littermates Simbah
and Saharah are 3) and 4 Shih Tzu (Deva, Maizey, Figero and Elvis, of
varying ages). They belonged to my bes friend who passed away, and I
"inherited" them.

I joke (JOKE ~ DON'T HATE ME!) that it's better to have dogs than kids
because if they piss me off I can sell 'em, but they're cooler than real
kids. Kids think you're GOD one day, then grow up and say "I HATE
YOU!!!" Dogs never do...ever!

Yes, I have two dogs and they are my "kids". There's just something
about a creature that loves you with such purity. Honestly, I must roll
over on my littlest dog about 20 times a night and crush her...and if
it's not that then I'm kicking her off the bed...but she always comes
right back and snuggles up to me. My girls are always excited to see me
when I get home from work...and always there to love on me when I've had
a bad day. They love me no matter what, and there are days that they
really are the reason I get out of bed. Can't think of anyone that
would put up with all the crap they put up with and still keep coming
back for more. I talk to them like they are little people and they
respond to pretty much everything I say. They'd do anything for
me...and I, in turn, would do anything for them.

i don't have a dog anymore, the one i had died. she was a very good dog
and anyone i get after wouldn't compare to her. she got plenty of
attention but wasn't treated like one of the family, not by me anyway.
best dog i've ever seen but still a dog.

My Siberian Huskey, Joshua, thinks he's a child. I love him to death!!!
I also have a beta named Hanabul, he's as spoiled as you could spoil a
fish. I talk to him alot, and no, it's not because no one else will
listen. lol! Pets are awsome and should be treated just like a member
of the family we actually love, haha again.
