While I think it is nice to be nice sometimes when people jump out of the box behaving in and unacceptable manner if they find they are going to be exiled for inapproproiate behavior it will stop and they will if they want to be part of the group modify their own behavior.

Agreed but some do not learn from their mistakes.

It took me a long time to get use to the site. In ways it's one foot in fantasy and the other reality. I would think that if some have come from other sites they bring their experiences from that site here. I think others don't know it's real. They put what ever foot forward they feel comfortable with at that moment. I'm sure many do think a dating site is about hooking up and it's only after they take a look that they find that Mingle actually has a heartbeat.

How many times do we see people coming up expecting results after 1 post or 1 month of being here. The world in many ways is like instant coffee these days and dating sites can project that same thing.

Just as all babies grow and develop I think every new thing we do or try in life can be very much the same. There are probably tons of new people who come to mingle and after posting a few times say to themselves "why did I do that". Shoot I did that after a year of being here. I still think "did I just post that on a public forum" sometimes.

I think it's great that mingle rolls out the carpet. Maybe some don't get it at first and some not at all, but it's the rolling out that really counts.

We've been here along time I just don't remember this. Right now there's one in dating says sex you look and there's a phone number. Maybe they should bring the sex forum back I never went in there. I do understand what your saying Michael I've already posted and thought why did I do that.i guess I have to just ignore and move to the next post

I don't understand why folks in other countries where English isn't their primary language, would be using English to attract a mate from their country.

Why not, let's say, if you are from Italy and want an Italian mate, put up topics in Italian?

This is an INTERNATIONL site, no?

Maybe they're not looking for a mate from their country. They may be looking for someone from an English speaking country, or someone from another non English speaking country, so they use English as common ground.
Some people don't limit themselves to country, and we even have Minglers on here who have met and married who weren't from the same country.

I will ask a few straight forward questions.

Is English mandatory to post topics?

Are posters from other countries allowed to post in their languages?

As for those who disapprove of some posters, who would ya'll exile if given the power to do so?

Why not skip over posts that annoy you and create new threads that entertain you?

Now it's an age thing? Yes, people are going to be different. What you enjoy may be different than what someone else enjoys. The good thing about this site is everyone is able to make new threads. Instead of complaining, why not just chat about things you enjoy? Others will join in.
