Topic: how would you feel.....? | |

I would not feel much.
I would have made my (FAIR) decision based on the alleged facts presented. Prosecutors and Defenders have both been known to lie. Certainty will be made more likely with BB taking DNA samples now. Or, the DA, cops, feds, could make a believable case by planting DNA so, they could get a conviction. |

if you were responsible for a murderer going free? if you were responsible for an innocent man spendig his life in prison? is there one that is more ,, regrettable, than the other to you? That is why I feel like there has to be incontrovertible evidence to sentence someone. Spending a life in prison without justification is horrid. Murderers go free all the time right now, so I think an innocent in prison is worse. we agree on most things ,,lol reviewing the thread,, isnt it interesting that most all took the position of a 'juror',,,,? the question only asked about being responsible,,,that could be the lawyers, the judge, the witnesses,, they all share some responsibility in how someone is or isnt sentenced,,,, ,,,,,just an observation,,,interesting huh? |

The only other position I could personally take would be that of a witness. My statement would remain the same. |

Same here and I did think about the OP because, except for the life in prison comment , it was a little vague....It goes w/o saying that anyone with a conscience would feel bad if it was discovered an innocent verdict should have been guilty or vice versa...It also goes w/o saying that if someone intentionally frames an innocent person or helps in any way to free a guilty person they would not give a chit about right or wrong.... |
