I use to be around a few where I once lived a friend owned ... totally cool ...loved them ...
here is a ? of what would you do... I have seen a horse in a small field with no shelter... by a home I ride by once and awhile ... I am thinking it is getting really cold here being winter is on the way ... and some of our temps have dropped already ... would u stop and ask if they have shelter for the horse being its cold ... or just call animal control or stop at the home and ask if they will be getting shelter for the horse soon ... I have been thinking of just stopping ... have not made my mind up yet ...what to do ... I would have concerted this is abuse to a animal ...whats your take ... |

It really depends on the condition of the horse. You have to remember that most (not all) horses are fine outside...if there is enough food and a couple of trees...and a shelter would be better but it's not the cold really that matters to them as it matters to us. I'm saying that because I saw dead horse skeletons on fields...in the US....but where there was drought. So...access to water is the most important... best is to post a picture...anyways that's been a while that you posted your question so what did you finally do ? |

I would have concerted this is abuse to a animal ...whats your take ... well I got my answer ... most farm animals... do not have to have a shelter in our county ... isn't that just dandy but would still say that is abuse especially getting these really cold temps now below 0 ... day and night ...  ... why have a animal if you can not give it the care it needs ... I have a picture of my daughter riding her first pony ... so cute ...think she was 4 or 5 yrs old ...
