My first love was when I was 18 the guy got another girl pregnant and married her. Sad, but I got over him cause he was married. We had dated a year, but he was also seeing another gal. He told me when he found out she was pregnant. I moved on Quick, he was not a good catch.

Them first loves will die if you use a hammer big enough.

Love does not die,but fades....if you already in love with someone else besides your first love,,,,and you happen to run into him/her,,,,,you would discover that the love you used to have for him/her is no longer there,,,,but you would be willing to have him/her as a friend inspite of what caused the split

I care about my first love. I wish her no ill will and want nothing but the best for her. But my love for her died long ago. I'm cool with it and the last time I saw her was proof enough that she wasn't the person I remembered and I really felt nothing for her. It was great closure. So yeah....love dies. But the good thing is that when I do love again it will be awesome!

I treat them all like they are first loves.

My first love did die.
Age 22, together since we were 16. He was a pro baseball player in perfect health. All his organs shut down after eating a hamburger. Turns out there is a percentage of the population that has the potential to have this fatal condition triggered by hamburger. But first loves never die in your heart. |

I had two girlfriends before I actually found my first love. We were together for almost five years, and it was the happiest I've ever been. Losing her absolutely destroyed me, and it was almost four more years after that that I was able to finally think about dating again.
I still miss her every day, but I've learned to live with it. It's been a long and hard emotional recovery, though. I know that I'll always hold a special place in my heart for her, and I truly hope that she's happy with whatever she's doing with her life. I've loved two women in my life so far, and I've lost them both, but I'm not going to let that get in the way of my happiness and well being, not like before. |
