Topic: What if there were no such things as jobs?

In the past, people found things to do to make a living. Before there were corporations and jobs... they sold cattle, broke horses, build wagons, tilled the fields, planted food, hunted, etc.

Now everyone sits around doing nothing because there are no jobs?

I say get up off your butts and find something to do and stop whining about there not being any jobs.

Well, starting a business is a lot different than starting a hobby. Businesses require money and permits and red-tape and things of that nature. Legal ones anyways. The system is stacked by the wealthy against the common person. It's the iron law of oligarchy. But hobbies are good. If one can get into one that doesn't cost a lot of money.

All I am hearing from you is BUT BUT BUT BUT....

The question is: What if there was no such thing as Jobs? NO JOBS ANYWHERE.

People are going to do what they have to do to make a living. They are going to get into trading, hunting, planting, or some service or business.. etc.

People are not going to sit around whining about no jobs when they need to do something to survive.

Unfortunately some will turn to crime.

Government is not going to be able to do much about it when people start businesses without the "proper permits and red tape."

That is all about taxes. If there are no jobs, there can't really be any taxes.

one of mu good friends didn't have anything to do, so she started her own business. she ended up closing it down, and now works in a corporation. it's hard to get a businessoff the ground and ro keep it going once you get it going.

My pet peeve are young people who whine about "no jobs" and have no incentive to go out and even look for something to do for someone as a service to get paid for. Even mow lawns or run errands.

There are many many things that need to be done and there are thousands of people sitting around complaining about there not being any jobs.

A defeatist attitude.

You don't have to "start a business." Just sell a service.

People spend money on business start up and open their doors and think the people will come piling in to buy their goods and services and they don't know a thing about salesmanship or marketing.

You have to be practical. Just start out doing something and use what you already have.

Or you can sit around on the couch and whine about there being no jobs if that is what floats your boat.

There is no such thing as "try" there is only "do or do not do." (Yoda) She decided she would rather have a job.

But what if there were no jobs?

Check your city or county codes.
Many services don't require business licenses.

This is true. My town did not require a license. And screw the State. You only need to register a "doing business as" name in order to open a bank account. I decided to do business as myself so I don't have to register that.

I don't get why you are so against taxes.. taxes are what made this country the greatest all around... there is no place in this world where you don't have to pay taxes, and they help keep our country great. so why the big issue with taxes?

If you are selling things that the state wants you to collect sales taxes for them, you need a sales tax licence. I won't get one because they charge money for it. Get that. They charge me money for a licence to collect taxes for them.

People get sales tax licences so if they are buying stuff for resale, they are exempt from paying taxes for it.

Legally, the state is supposed to pay you a small amount for collecting their taxes for them. But the reason I won't be in a business that requires all of that is because of all the paper work they want. Then to add to that, the phone company wants to double your phone bill for the privilege of answering your phone with your "business name." That is another reason I use my own name for my business name.
