I've posted to similar threads and for me 10 years +/- I feel comfortable with but closest in age is best.

I guess the question is here to stay, so I just want to add this...A big age difference either way can be a deal breaker...The reasons are obvious...For me, it makes more sense to focus on those May-December relationships that thrive in spite of age difference because they epitomize that old saying "Love conquers all"....

emotional maturity
often correlates with biological age, but not always so OFTEN people at different maturity levels dont make for the best 'friends', although the mentor relationship might work sometimes, people with age difference are still emotionally at the same developmental stage, and therefore compatible |

probably a person double my age can understand me better than a person of my age but i wont go for a person half my age or double my age. so age does matters. |
