forgive me, but you seem to keep looking for some specific word for word exact duplication in the bible of every christian belief or statement,, you wont find it because thousands of years and cultures have passed since the bible was written by people of biblical culture


there is nothing specific about driving drunk, there is nothng specific about m15s,, there is nothing specific about a NUMBER of thngs that have occurred since the authors of the bible lived

I see nowhere in the bible where Gods law MANDATES we have a license to marry either,,,,,

I see many calls for death in the old testament that just arent mandated since Christ came back to die for our sin,,,,like homosexuality and adultery to name a couple

so, back to the question about outlawing capital punishment, I wouldnt oppose such a movement because we are no longer living under the specific laws of old testament,, and we are permitted to have empathy in our judgment as christ did in his sacrifice,,,

licenses are a modern supplement to biblical marriage, if it wasnt a requirement of marriage or a mandated part of how God defined marriage before

Christians are to obey the laws of the land,if that requires a license for a man and woman, to be "married" then the couple should get a license.

Marriage is a state of mind, not applying to the state to for permission

but the law doesnt require a license to enter a covenant with God,,,,only for a state recognized marriage which attaches state perks and privileges
