I lost my right leg.... the short version is. I was struck by a drunk driver while sitting on my porch 8-25-11. It seems so hard trying to find A female now. I can walk but am still recovering. are there any women out there that would give me or any guy in a similar situation for that matter a chance at love too?

I'm not a woman but goodness, that's horrible, what you had happen to you.

I'm totally blind and whilst I've not had massive problems finding friends and even some dates I have had problems maintaining relationships as some girls tended to get a little scared if things got serious.
Good luck in finding somebody, man. It shouldn't be that hard if you are genuine.

if some women are so shallow as to let things like a difference make a difference then they don't deserve the love of a good man.being shallow isn't a nice thing.a heart and soul are what makes the man,not the body.

My guess is there are plenty of women who would...I dated a man who lost his leg to cancer...He was an incredible guy...

Hey I am in about the same situation as you are, I broke my ankle over two years ago, and have had complications with it. I am looking into having it amputated so that I can get back to some what of a normal life style as it was before I broke it.

I know I would :) Anyway, it's nothing, to me. As I've already got an amputee in my family, so I'm used to it. I must admit it was a bit daunting at first, when it happened, but I got over it. It was probably far worse for my grandad, because he was the one losing his arms and legs. The dr told him either he should get amputated, or he would die from Sceptaceamia (blood poisoning). He was in Intensive Care, before they found the problem. He has diabetes, so his blood work was all in a pickle. lol. That happened in 2011. He used to be an athlete. Gotta say, I honestly can't tell you enough how admirable I find you amputee's. The way you all just carry on with life. I know I may sound patronizing, but to me, what courage that must take. You people truly are amazing. You deserve some sort of award. I just look at my grandad and I just think "Wow!". Anyway, welcome :)
