I think because some get so comfortable with that person moving on to nothing having no one is very hard thing to do scary too. That's why some many would rather be miserable w/someone than on their own.

I can agree with this. I spent the last 5 years miserable in my marriage because i didnt want to be alone. Well didnt matter because she moved in with her bf and well her i am...alone. Coulda saved myself 5 years of misery.
