All thanks to technolgy, informations of every sort has been spread to almost evert part of the world including those that matters on relationships. Now, most people feel they know all that is to know in a relationship and so the big question is; why then do we have in excess, failed relationships, failed marriages and so many broken homes despite the availability of useful information at their disposal? Knowing is never understanding and it doesn‘t mean implementation. In my research, i have discovered that we have a sound knowledge of helpful information but we lack the neccessary understanding needed and so we do not apply the knowledge we had acquired. The lifelines of any progressive and stable relationships are: love, trust, friendship, communication, openess and honesty. Take anyone out of the equation and are sure to have a relationship standing on one leg!

That's funny. Who needs priests preaching sexual morality and telling you how your relationship should be when you have self-proclaimed "experts" flooding the intertubes with that?

Because most of these so called "expert's" normally have a book to sell. You can almost gaurantee it. I think maturity is all that's really needed. Not all of that arguing. As for dating articles, they slipped people a good one.

Why don't we, as a society, practice what experts preach? Probably the same reason that, as a society, we don't practice what our own common sense and moral instincts dictate.

Personally, I blame it on the growing widespread belief that we, as a society, have adopted these days; that we are all somehow entitled to whatever instant gratification our heart desires, consequences be damned.

It doesn't help anything that we, as a society, have also adopted a "throw away" attitude, due in great part to a false sense of economic freedom, caused by being raised as and living the lives of, what I call, " bubble dwellers". But that's another thread altogether.

My point on this subject being that, as a society, we want what we want when we want it, and toss it aside when we no longer want it. Why put any effort into that which is easily replaced? ohwell

I don't know about you guys, but personally, I'm looking for something that can't be replaced. flowerforyou
