some people just think its pretty awesome that someone stepped in and helped,, regarldess of their social class or race or the way they speak on camera
I think if he had been a white professional passing through who had done the same thing,, people would still be enamored with him,,,, |

He deserves praise, yes, and recognition for his actions, he is a hero, but my hope is that any of us would have done the same thing in that situation.... Amanda is the real hero though. She was told her child would be killed if she attempted to escape, and threatened, beaten, abused, on many other occasions, still risked it all to save not only herself but the others. |
