Well, to put it another way, so-called "stupid" people can be modest and unassuming. There was this reality TV show a while back called Beauty and the geek and they put together a bunch of "dumb bimbos" with a bunch of clever dorks. The idea was to show that they could learn from each other and that it was all about confidence. The beauties had no confidence in their ability to be "clever" and the geeks had no confidence in their looks and ability to atract women.

To put it yet another way, I think that when you have two dominant personalities in a relationship they are likely to butt heads and annoy each other.

there are a lot of people that are modest about not being very clever even if they are actually not "stupid" and people like that do tend to be easy to get on with and they are less likely to try to force their opinions on you. They may be a bit boring and they may fail to give you mental stimulation but some people are kind of shallow and they like nice looking "chicks" that are just eager to please and get along with people.

I think it's self explanatory. A harmless simpleton is going to be less annoying and easier to get on with than someone that thinks that they are clever. There's less likely to be conflict and it will be easier to get your way with them.

Of course, that does sort of go against the idea that a good relationship is an equal partnership but how easy is it to find someone that is really your equal like that who isn't going to make you compromise and go along with things for the sake of just getting along?

First off trying to actually find 'an equal' quality partner is like getting a jury trial by your actual peers; it's an oxymoron. Second if they do laugh at your jokes, it's cheaper than having to pay them to laugh...
Third, let's not forget that stupidity is the basic building block of the universe. It also has advantages at times for both parties to be viewed as 'stupid' because people are less suspicious of you or your partner. Besides, which quality would be better to be known by: having a hard heart or being soft in the head...
And what if your address book or phone numbers of chicks; even the other way around, is as empty as a hermit's address book and if everything is over your own head, perhaps you should go down to Jamaica and become a limbo dancer.
Man, another thing to remember, invented stupidity, which was using his intelligence. Genius may have its limitations, but stupidity is not so handicapped. As for a couple, you cannot make a wit out of two half wits, which for many would be of some comfort, I'm sure.
As Einstein reported said, "Only two things are infinite---the universe and human stupidity, and I'm not sure about the former."
So let's hear it for the stupids of this world! We all need them; if not for ourselves to look good, but for our sex lives...it's far easier to have sex with a stupid person than some dumb asse smart one who wants to know why....

The description "stupid" is so subjective. Whose stupid are we speaking of yours or mine? What actions are earmarked for the stupid category to you? Going out with an ugly guy, from your OP? Since our physical body is so little of us, it is pretty "stupid" to base much on that, right? And then we have to cover whose "ugly" or "beautiful" are you referring to? Beauty is so subjective. What is beautiful to you is not to others. What is ugly to you is not to others.

So what?

Simple minded people have appeal. I don't think simplicity makes them stupid. They live a simpler less complicated life and like things to be steady and easy. We run into problems when they get zealous over say religion or politics, then their simpleness becomes a problem for the rest of us. As long as they know their life is not for everyone it is all good and for the most part those who want to live simple lives are good folks. If their life makes them happy, then I am all for it.

Those 'stupid guys', as you so eloquently speak of here, can't be that stupid if they manage to be with a beautiful woman.

A lot of guys think that women are complicated, women think the same thing of men.

I guess they key to finding out what kind of guy any particular woman is seeking, is simply to ask her.

All women differ in what their preferences are in men, just as every man has different preferences in women.
Your particular preferences could be very different from the next guy, what you find attractive in a person may not necessarily be what another man finds attractive in that same person.

What kind of guy does a woman prefer? That answer would take up volumes, as every woman is different.
