Sitting at the keyboard
Typing what they feel They know the things they're thinking May not quite seem real The person you're conversing with Lives so far away Does one watch the sun shine While the others are making hay? It matters not how things turn out In the days and weeks to come Where once there were the two of them Now there is only one All the best is said out loud And wish the other well One of them in heaven The other left in hell But life moves on As one knows it must There's better times ahead One makes their bed And lays in it No more with aching head Gazing out the window Or staring at the wall One thing's for sure In that short time You really had a ball.
