if you dont know much about shotokan, heres a samll quick tidbit of info. its not a self defense art, its almost all offensive. even the blocks are ment to break limbs. the shuto block is meant to spiral break an arm, and the is never one move in it. its combos on top of combos, every block has a follow up strike and that strike has a follow up if done correctly.

Well i'm the opposite..self defense tactics.

shotokan, it seems that is PERFECT for you. I would break every bone in my arm if I tried to break blocks laugh

no dear,, im not implying that at all. most people think due to my size that i would be slow and not gracefull at all. but that just goes to show you people dont really know what to think when someone like me shows up. im in a big body but move like someone half my size.

i kinda agree looking, but i cant do it, its disrespectful to my sensai. and i know a few guys who do it,, i do some of my training at a royce gracie school,, for the weights and conditioning. but alot of their moves i dont get into due to the fact i study okinawian styles they dont mix well with brazillian. thats meant for much smaller people than me. but muay thai i love,, thats alot of fun for me. i studied that for 4 of the 12 years ive been into martial arts.

nah i dont have you tube vids,, i hate video cameras about as much as i hate getting my pic taken. the only kumite matches they have me in was taken in my old dojo with my ex wifes father. he was one of my sensai's. ill see if i can dig one of em up and post it so you can see what we were all about.

boxing has way to many hook punches, ive found the most devistating strike is a strait line punch. it wont glance off and you dont have to worry about breaking your hand no where near as often. plus you have more force behind it. when you throw a hook your only hitting with about 5 percent of your power. a strait hit you can put all your force into. and fair warning. muai thai is not a weak sport. you will be very sore after the first several classes. and your legs will be very bruised. but after you get your conditioning up your legs will take about anything and not phase you.

i do the vitamins, and before i start doing any training or practice i take stacker 3 xplc's, they help me. i wanted to fight mma but like i said i was told not to. but i still train with them. if your really dead set on it look up crossfit. its a royce gracie affiliated school and if they have one in your area they will get you ready quick. before i tore my rotator cuff a few monthes ago, they had my bench up to 380, and i was shooting for 430 by the end of april next year. if i can hit that i can get picked up by a pro team for football. i do smoke but thats something that i have to deal with. i quit for a while but i got weak and started back.

im not really trying to lose weight, as far as the postion that i play,, im small for it, they want someone around 310 or more, but i have the power of a 350 lbs man in 295 frame. my legs are the strongest things i have. i leg press 1700 lbs. i have been traing for years, but im starting to slack off. i have to be careful with my shoulder cause i really dont want to have to take a year off to do the surgery and rehab it would take to get me well.
