Do you raise the bar every time you chose a new person to date?
If so how so...if not so how so also? |

not consciously but I do have very basic non negotiables. I try to stay flexible on other stuff like mere preferences. What about in terms of feelings? If you liked the way a former relationship felt, could you date someone who did not evoke equal or better emotional stimulation for you? |

If I liked how a relationship felt, I think Id still be in it. Few enough relationships end mutually, so I was playing the odds by aking that question. |

Do you raise the bar every time you chose a new person to date? If so how so...if not so how so also? The Bar is set and there is no changes with whomever I meet. I have had a few meetings and only One passed so far. Distance usually plays a huge part in not getting together. I have many requirements, because I am seeking a partner not just dating. |

I suppose I do. I have just wanted more than I got each time when it wasn't enough. I put up with someone that kept saying that she didn't want anything serious for a long time and after that I met someone that said that she wasn't ready for anything serious but I gave it a go for a bit but when she kept saying that it was only a casual relationship I told her that I didn't think that it was going to work because I had had all of that jazz from my last girlfriend. Now I don't want to go there at all and if they aren't looking for a relationship or are saying that they don't want anything serious I'm not going to bother with them because I don't want to get messed about like that again.

I wouldn't date someone I didn't have chemistry with. Is that what you meant? Kind of....more like less chemistry than what you've experienced in other relationships. |

Think back to the best relationship you've had. Are your expectations now based on that “bar” and higher, or would you be willing to settle for something that was not quite as good? |

You're sticking to your expectations. Me too. |

My expectations are always the same, Older now and they still havent changed. They are high and No I will not settle. I do not feel I have to settle because I have a lot of love and respect to give and I want that in return. |

Do you raise the bar every time you chose a new person to date? If so how so...if not so how so also? You are darn right I do, each and every time I approach a bar.I always end up at a wrong bar it seems. I usually don't care for bars so I'm a bit leery with any date on approaching a bar, be it horizontal or vertical including the ones you have to squat down to get under to pass your 'bar exam'. Those can be fun however. Most bars don't even have what I like to order and many bars are trouble; I much prefer to stay at home with my own bar... |
