MEN: Do you have a problem with your wife or girlfriend ( when you had one or even if you still have one)being the breadmaker in the family? If she makes more money than you, do you feel threatened or are you "okay" with it? Opinions?

LADIES: Have you ladies ever experienced this with your significant other? What are your thoughts on this?

P.S. FORGIVE ME IF THIS THREAD WAS ALREADY MADE...I DO NOT GO THRU OLD TREADS!!

I always made more than my ex-husband, better benefits etc. It bothered him, can't say it didn't. But, eventually, he figured out it all goes to the same place and it didn't matter how it got there. I certainly never had a problem with it. I think it's an ego thing, though I could be wrong.

I think some men are threatened by that...

I have also known some that enjoyed the woman being the bread
winner... enjoyed it a little too much! grumble

I don't know if anybody's ever been threatened by what I make... maybe because I don't make any more than I need.

I do know a man who was bothered more by the fact that I wasn't impressed with his wealth, more than he was bothered with the disparity.

Just one guys opinion.....

I have always taken care of everything financially in my relationships....Not by choice....Just that they didn't want to deal with it...

As far as having a partner with more responsibility? I don't know....Its a little like your the one driving the car all the time...And now your the passenger having to live at the whim of the driver....

Don't get me wrong it would be nice not to have to deal with having to pay all the bills...And if it didn't get rubbed in my face during an argument like "Hey You loser" I might be able to get used to....As long as my competitive ego can handle being second in the relationship.......

If we were not married living in seperate households I would not care what she makes.............
