After so many days
inside
I finally felt the wind
it was a bit chilly
but with the sun’s embrace
and a deep breath
it felt perfect

After so many days
lost
without love or reasons
I finally found
my way
through the maze of pain and hurt
and enough darkness to mask how beautiful today could be
I know where I’m going now

And after all the time
waiting
hoping
as the days passed away
and the ages cried
I get to finally hold tomorrow close to my soul
and it feels good
to forgive
and forget
