Ephesians 6:11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
12. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

Now a common preaching of this often implies that is only evil and demonic spirits, least from a few preachers. I’m going to so verse 12 with what the Greek meaning of some of the words are.

12. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against (rulers/magistrate), against (authorities), against the (world's rulers) of the (shadiness/obscurity), against spiritual (powers) in (heavenlies/sky).

Probly nothing new to many of us but it looks like we are going to be butting heads with governments and leaders. I’m going to continue with replaceing some things with the direct Greek translation.

14 Stand therefore, you having dressed around the waist with truth, and putting on the chest-plate of righteousness,
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the Good News of peace;
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one.
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

The belt of truth is what some people call it but knowing the truth can keep one from showing their tail. After all the main purpose of a belt is to hold your pants up. You can’t fight real well with you pants around your feet.

The chest plate covers your heart. The seat of feelings in the western world and righteousness is what is right in the eyes of God. Remember that Ecclesiastes 3 says to all things there is a season, a time of war and a time of peace, a time to kill and a time to heal. We need to becareful in following our feelings and make sure our heart is line up with God’s. We need to know when to show compactions and when we need to be strict.

Shod your feet or in other words, put on your shoes. Hebrews 12 says we have a race to run and of course shoes are meant to protect your feet. The Good News is that energy we will need to endure the race. This race you win not by being the first to cross the finish line, but enduring the race until you cross the finish line. It is the only race I know where you win just by crossing the finish line.

The shield of faith is an interesting one. We are creatures that are use to tangible things and faith is something we can touch, see or feel. We all hear Hebrews 11: 1 “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Yet during tuff time, it can be a hard thing to have. I believe at this point in my life God may be having me to forge this part of the armor. It’s not easy.

Now the helmet protects the head. The head in the knowledge center bka our brains. It is what we know and decides for the most part, the path we take and focus on. This is important because in Revelation, God’s elect have the seal of God in their forehead and those not of God’s will accept the seal of man which we call the mark of the beast. So you need to make sure you have to correct knowledge in you head, this will protect you from the mark of the beast and grant you the seal of God. Part of this is being able to detect a fake Christ even the most realistic fake Christ. To do this requires studying in depth the word of God.

Having knowledge is important for the next part, the sword that is the word of God. Doesn’t mean you have to know it verse by verse but know what it really says. There are some parts that you have to get down to the Hebrew or Greek to have clarity and to truly understand. You also have to know what one part of the Bible says to understand other parts. Remember, Satan came at Jesus with the word but distorting it. And people in the world will question you about the word to try and stop you. This is why we are not to forsaken fellowship with each other, it is like going to karate or boxing class. We are to help train and support each other.

I was listening to a guy last night on a news channel that says he is a Christian but try to pass much of the Old Testament as being a made up story to tell a certain moral lesson. It came across like he was Saying God lied about events in the OT. He even said that Jesus would not have approve of certain OT practices even though they were laws set forth by God. I’m like did he even read the Gospel at all much less study it.

Ok that is my two cents.

God didn't write the Bible, so nothing in it can be considered "God lying", but as indicated below, man DID lie...

------------------------------------------------------------------
Ezekiel 22:27-29
King James Version (KJV)

27 Her princes in the midst thereof are like wolves ravening the prey, to shed blood, and to destroy souls, to get dishonest gain.

28 And her prophets have daubed them with untempered morter, seeing vanity, and divining lies unto them, saying, Thus saith the Lord God, when the Lord hath not spoken.

29 The people of the land have used oppression, and exercised robbery, and have vexed the poor and needy: yea, they have oppressed the stranger wrongfully.

------------------------------------------------------------------

Jeremiah 7:21-23
King James Version (KJV)

21 Thus saith the Lord of hosts, the God of Israel; Put your burnt offerings unto your sacrifices, and eat flesh.

22 For I spake not unto your fathers, nor commanded them in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, concerning burnt offerings or sacrifices:

23 But this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people: and walk ye in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you.

------------------------------------------------------------------

Now, how does one "obey God's voice"??? Simple, compare it to your heart, prove all things and hold fast that which is good. After all, the simple believeth every word...

Jeremiah 31:31-34
King James Version (KJV)

31 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:

32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was an husband unto them, saith the Lord:

33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the Lord, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.

34 And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying, Know the Lord: for they shall all know me, from the least of them unto the greatest of them, saith the Lord: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.
