There may be a heat censer in the cooling system that is not worKing
properly.

Some cars have censers in the cooling system that shut the motor off at
the ignition if the motor is over heating.

If it starts after it cools down or after you put cool water in the rad
then I would find out if there is a censer in the cooling system.

ALSO, DON'T PUT COLD WATER IN A HOT MOTOR THAT IS NOT RUNNING !!! YOU
WILL CRACK THE BLOCK !!!

LEAVE THE MOTOR RUNNING AND SLOWLY ADD COOL WATER !

Have you checked the coil?

I don't think the 92's were smart enough for sensors in the water except
for the heat sensor for temp. gauge.

it could be lots of things check the carborator or the fuel injection

when i put the water the motor is not hot enough to crack the motor, do
you know how i coud find out if there is a sensor in the cooling system?
and the fuel is good we tested the pressure and it is perfect pressure

Dude... check the radiator... see if its corroded and blocked, it may
need to be drained, cleaned and filled, then check the termostate, I
would just change it for (GP). Look at the hoses, check for leaks, if
all is fair, then you should consider that you have a more serious
engine problem.

Check your crank angle sensor, ignition coil resistance, and pick up
coil resistance.

i flushed the radiator and remmoved the thermostat thinking there was a
block and its all clean. i was told the crank shaft sensor could be the
problem but when i looked into it if that sensor is out the car wint
start at all and heat would not affect it and i changed the ignition
control module because the lack of spark but it didnt help

Dude trust me I'm A.S.E. Certified in 5 areas crank sensor, pick up coil
or ignition coil!!!!!

OR ignition swith all of these can malfunction intermitantly especially
when hot.

what and where is the pick up coil. i did check the ignition coil, what
one should i try first?

The pick up coil is around the distributor shaft take off your cap and
rotor it is located under the rotor it plugs into the control module
first get a manual then unplug it and connect an ohm meter to the plug
check it cold then check it hot refer to the specs. in the manual. If
its ok crank sensors are cheep just replace it.

i ont actuallyhave a distrubeter i have the coil packs,
but i think ill try changing the crank sensor, thank you for your help.

Good luck, coil packs are controled by the control module and the
control module is controled by the crank sensor so change the sensor and
go from there.
