Topic: Love is a thing not of mind | |

When I look into your eyes, traveling the depth of your soul, and you say a million things without even a trace of sound. I realize that my own life is inevitably consumed with the rhythmic beating of your very heart. I am in love with you for a million reasons, and no paper would do them justice. Love is a thing not of the mind, but of the heart. It is a feeling, only felt.
who is the Dearest one? and let me know. |

When you love there should be no reason. Love is an emotion not a thing.

Love might feel like a tangible thing but it isn't, it is a strong intangible emotion. It should be felt in your heart, not your mind.

In Luke 10:27 Jesus says, "“You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind." (ESV)
So, total love involves more than the heart. Love is to be guided by your head and put into action by your strength. |

Love might feel like a tangible thing but it isn't, it is a strong intangible emotion. It should be felt in your heart, not your mind. Love can't be felt in your heart as your heart simply pumps blood. It is an emotion triggered by the brain and has nothing to do with the heart. |

Love is an emotion. All of our emotions are there to help us survive or guide us to finding a suitable mate. I do not think love is permanent. I think it's there to bond two people to one another long enough to raise their children to an age where they can survive mostly on their own (I'm talking about surviving in the world we lived in 50,000 years ago in a tribal community). Then the partners break up and find new partners. This mixes up the gene pool and that's a good thing.
