I never seen the thread but to be honest another "hi" thread would be repetitive and I guess that is why they put in this new system. I never liked the system but oh well...my cries were left unheard.

You know, I think this is a good reason why there should be some accountability attached to the deletion process -- those who voted to delete should be called upon to explain their reasons....what rule did Michael's post violate? I would love to hear the justification for this one....

I have always had issues with the deletion concept, and have never voted to delete or not to delete -- I have abstained from the entire process, because I don't believe it's my job to make those decisions....

Not to say that there aren't some things that merit deletion, but leaving those decisions to the "inmates" can lead to some odd decisions, at best, and (potentially) some truly incomprehensible vendettas, at worst....
