Perhaps they temporarily deactivated their profiles...happens to me too...

It happens all the time, ppl deactivate and disappear from your friends list.

i've had some to disappear but then they came back. so i don't know what it could be.

Some times people go thru their friends list & if they haven't chatted with folks recently, they delete them. It is a personal management thing. Different strokes for different folks
