If the glove don't fit, you must acquit! Oh wait....wrong subject. laugh

Oh, I don't know. Seems appropriate, but maybe not on a first date...but who knows.

Oh THAT glove. Well....for safety reasons, you need a good fitting glove. However, since this person has not dated in 20 years, perhaps glove convo should wait until date #20 or something. I mean, if you wanna talk glove action and you haven't dated in so long, then find a hooker. They know how to handle people with this kind of age gap. Not that I know about that stuff. Just reporting what was on FOXNEWS.

I actually posted this with my own Mother in mind. Her first date with this gentleman was dinner at my house. Though it seemed like it went very well, she called me later saying that now she has to go on a REAL date and is not sure what to expect on a modern date. I chill a little when considering GLOVES in relation to my Mother’s future dates with men. noway

If that dude did a first meeting with your Mom at your house, then he is a brave man. Lol. I would think it shows that he was willing to meet her and wanted her to be as comfortable as possible, which is great. If she feels comfortable with him, then she should just go on the date and let things happen naturally. No bumping uglies; just a straight up, you and me, one on one date to see how well we interact together.

I agree...he was brave. When he originally asked her out, I think he sensed that she was not comfortable going out with a perfect stranger, so told her that he could take her somewhere she frequented and felt comfortable. She laughed and told him that she doesn’t get out much these days except to go to her daughters for dinner once a week. He shocked her by asking, "is she a decent cook?"

I made them my best dish...talapia with dill sauce and spinach salad heated in balsamic vinager with trimmings. I told him it was my Mother's favorite and he asked for the recipe...hmmm.

When I was young, a woman would have a light snack before you took them out for dinner, so as not to act pigish; today its like they don't eat for three days prior to the date

Sounds like what I do to prepare for all that eating for Christmas Day. I hardly eat for a few days, as I know my gran will try forcing more and more food on me, throughout the day:
Gran: Are you sure you are full?
Me: Yes thanks. I am.
Gran: Would you like some pudding?
Me: No, I'm fine.
Gran: Are you absolutely sure?
Me: Yes. Honestly.
Gran: But everyone else is having some.
Me: *losing my cool* Yes. I'm REALLY sure. Thanks all the same.
