my ex cheated on me for about 8months before i found out,it was the hardest time for me
i hv to admit i was busy working everyday from 10am to 10pm,no off days but that doesnt mean you have the green card to cheat.. so my question is would you find someone else if he or she neglected you for some time? or you would work things out with him or her? |

Firstly, it's unfortunate that he didn't have the courage to tell you his problems or at least let you know what he was up to.
Secondly, I want to commend you for putting your job as a top priority. Nothing is more important than your income and independence. Now, if my woman was too busy for me, I'd simply assume that she didn't have space for me in her life at this time. No hard feelings. There have been times when I've had limited space in my own life. I'd tell her that I understood, but that I also desire some alone time with a female and it would probably be better for both of us to just part ways or have a change in our relationship. This doesn't mean that I care for her any less. It simply means that I understand her need to fulfill her obligations. |

I would try to work it out. It's not that you are neglecting this person for your own selfish reasons; it is your job and no matter how much you care for someone else; you need to have your job to survive. No matter how much you care for this person; they aren't paying your bills; you are. To me; it sounds like this guy was a cheater and just used your job situation as an excuse to cheat. |

Working every day? 12 hours a day? No days off?
I am not sure how you could expect anyone to stay in that relationship.....if you could even call it that. |

Cheryline22, I do not condone your ex-boyfriend's decision to string you along while he dated someone else. He should have formally broken off his relationship with you before moving on to another girlfriend. |

I thought as much as that |

There was only ever one ex that was too busy to be with me anymore. While I was with him, I had no idea he felt so drained every day, from being at work. I kept asking him if he was okay, because he would look gravely ill at times. He finally mentioned that his job demanded a lot of his time, and he didn't think how it would affect being in a relationship. He seemed pretty upset while mentioning it, but I'd rather he told me, than make himself ill. I wouldn't want to feel like a burden to him. We're still friends. No bitterness. He texts me every Valentines Day to wish me a good day, as he likes to because he does that to all his friends anyway. Whether they are single or not. I kept him as a friend because I feel he is a kind-spirited guy and very charitable. I only keep the nice people. Bitter, crude one's, I stay well away from.
