I felt a bit sceptical about replying to this at first, only because it's a bad memory for me. Yes, it happened to me in 2006. It went on for four years. I'd only just split up with someone, aswell, so it doubled my stress level. I don't hold it against the stalker, as I was soon to discover he had been diagnosed with Schizophrenia and Bipolar. I must be some sort of attraction magnet for bipolar men. . I have nothing against people with a mental illness. It's just that I dated quite a few bipolar men. I made a decision to take a three month break from the chat site, to see if it would make him think about it all. As if I was absent, he couldn't communicate with me. At least I could cut him off from contacting me. When I went back there, after those three months, it had worked. Him not being able to reach me had made him think long and hard. He confessed that he was even suicidal during all of that. I accepted his apology. He really tried to make an effort with his apologizing. We were good friends again after that. Not that I let him off lightly for it, though. I think he needed help, but no-one was listening to his cries. :)

Reminds me of a thread started by someone on another dating site where she said that she was being trolled by somebody. No real evidence though and just a story told from your point of view.

Why post this thread if not to flame someone that you assume is stalking you and reading what you post on internet forums? If you don't like unmoderated sites or flame forums then don't go on them but coming on here and slagging off other individuals and sites doesn't really make you any better. None of us are really in any position to decide who the real troll is here or why this person took a dislike to you. None of us really know you or this other person. You post here though and if you bothered to read the rules you must be aware that flaming is against them.

You are at the very least someone that responds to trolls. You tried to name and shame someone on a moderated site. You expect us to accept that this "it" is insane and a bad person without providing any real details about what they said to or about you. All that is clear is that you allowed yourself to become involved in a flame war with someone over the internet and you can't just drop it and ignore them.
