What I think about self empowerment and how do I empowered myself.

I am responsible for EVERYTHING in my life, the good and the bad, so my step number one is that, being responsible. If something is going to be in my life it depends on me, nobody else.

There is a book writen by Miguel Ruiz that is called "The Four Agreements" that basically say that to be you have to follow 4 pilars in your life: Don´t assume, don´t take anything personal, be impeccable with your words and do your best; so if you live day by day with this 4 principles then you are seriously working to your happiness.

There are some points that I consider too:

1- Can't please everyone. While it is gratifying to see others happy especially when you know you are the reason, it's not always a priority. My own happiness needs to be!

2- Believe in yourself. It is easy to focus on others and lose faith in yourself without even realizing it's happening. Always trust that you are capable of more than you ever thought possible. Only you are in control creating yourself, believing you are good enough to deserve great things to be thrust upon you and knowing YOU are worth it.

3- Take the good with the bad. There will be good days, as well as bad days, it's how we deal with the tough ones that make us appreciate the good stuff. Be in charge of what and who enters your world. Do your best to weed out the negative, to clear room for the positive. Negative people/situations are undeserving of your time and energy.

4- Follow your heart. It is important to listen to your heart AND your mind. If something feels off, take a step back, make sure you trust in yourself, lead with your heart but use your mind as well.

5- Everyday is a blank canvas. It's a new beginning for you to reinvent yourself, or just start over in some aspect of your life. There are always difficult times, but trust in your strength enough to have confidence that tomorrow it will be better. Time heals all wounds. You control you're path.

6- Everything happens for a reason. I realize that if it weren't for the experiences I´ve lived till this day I wouldn't have half the good things I have right now. It is the same for the people who come into your life. Some will change you and forever be a part of your life and who you are....others will try to change you, but you have to find your strength and grow from the experience. Those who matter will always be part of you.

7-Let go and embrace change. Not all change is good but something positive will come out of it, always be ready to embrace the good and the bad. Change is what helps us grow, learn, and become empowered. Sometimes we try to hold on to so much from the past because it's comfortable, but you will miss out on so many amazing experiences along the way.

8-Be vulnerable. Sometimes vulnerability makes us stronger. Keeping things in isn't healthy and is in fact the weaker, easier path traveled. You will experience some great feelings when you learn to embrace being vulnerable.

9- Learn to LET GO. I am a "planner." I like control and organization. Sometimes this is a good thing, but if you never know when to let go and just live, you miss out on so much. Believe me I know. I never knew the happiness that could come with letting go. People have come into my life that have changed me in the most amazing ways. I need to tell myself this everyday, I want to embrace the good that comes with just allowing what feels right to happen.

10- Be independent and remember who YOU are. Don't let others dictate your life. YOU are strong, intelligent, and more capable than you can ever truly realize. Don't depend on others for your happiness, only you control your life. Make your own happiness and surround yourself with amazing people, life will be amazing.

Dream a lot! Set an intention of what you want, then put action into those words and you will be closer to having the result. Never stop, no matter what.

We have to be fearless. We have to take chances. We can't live life just being afraid of what comes next. That's not what living is about.

For me self empowerment is about being true to myself. OWNING my choices . . Good and bad. Finding the positive in situations. Being a positive and encouraging example to others.

When stress hits my self empowerment is to take my dog on a long walk, or start a campfire out back and realize what I really have.Own up to my mistakes,or challenges, and of course Jesus.

I think we feel good about ourselves to the exact degree to which we feel we are in control of our lives.

What do you think self empowerment is?

How would you go about empowering yourself?

How would you go about helping to empower others?

self empowerment, to me, is recognizing the spiritual self and not just the flesh

when I began to realize my value beyond the material world, I became self empowered

I discovered sex and material things were not necessary to feel complete or fulfilled or wanted or loved, I discovered money was a means to access and resources but not a resource for happiness in and of itself, I discovered I can be perfectly fulfilled on my own so long as there is real LOVE of the significant and substantial NON PHYSICAL surrounding me via friends and family, I discovered how much complete control I have over my body when I learn about my spirit ,,, I discovered so many things that have given me a peace and security and comfort,,,,

I would help others understand their spiritual existence, and how they truly can and do define their existence and their 'identity' and redefine it over and over,, if they so choose,,,

The first person you need to inspire everyday is yourself.
