Topic: Do you like me? I like you... | |

To me saying I like you; I could say that to anyone. To say I have deep feelings or I love you is completely different. Hi navygirl... I agree.. saying I like you is relatively innocent enough.. but do you think it could be construed as a come on, flirting even? And, do you think maybe some people who say, i like you, is just like a feeler to see if there are any emotions there to start with, and if they get an, I like you too, back, they take that as something more than it is and expect more? I ask these questions because I don't want to lead anyone on... but at the same time, I don't want to have to deny what I'm feeling either.. Yes; I think people will use it as a feeler to see how the other person feels about them but if you just like a person say as a friend; then you need to let them know. Its tricky though as you don't know and can't know how another person will react as you aren't a mind reader. I say just throw it out there and see what happens. I don't think its leading one on as you are making a general statement and if they take it to mean more; then that is just how they will interpet this but I think you need to be prepared to clarify what this means if they ask you what you meant by that. okay... thank you... |

If I tell a man I love him; you better know I really do. I have liked many, but only loved a very few I could count them on one hand and have fingers left. I think a man and woman know when they really like each other. But I usually would say if I liked him or not. Yes, toodygirl, you're right, a man and woman do know they like each other especially if there is undeniable chemistry, so if they tell one another just how much they like each other they could become even closer... |

Stepping out of our comfort zone is worth it to me. I agree, I want to live life on the edge without going over it... test the boundaries to see if what will be will be... |

I have told people I really like them before, I save the love word for when it is warranted. okay... here's another question relative to that one Here on Mingle we interact with lots of people, and outwardly it appears we like each other, but how do we really know? I mean it could be just for show, right? So, if we like someone should we let them know, or, because this is a dating site, would it be considered "flirting" if we tell each other that we like one another? Well, yu should Say it, but to Some1 yu Believe will take it the way yu Mean it. Meaning, from the way they interact with Everyone, yu will know how they'll Respond to it I think I understand... so if we interact like being just on a friends level, then it's cool to tell our friends we like them as such... and if on other levels, then what is appropriate... got it... It can still be Said on Other Levels if yu're Confident By the way, yu have a Very Pretty Face; I 'Like' it thank you for the compliment... okay.. prime example for a question... can this statement be construed as flirting? Or is it just an innocent appraisal, like commenting on a poem? Both hehehe |

'I Like yu' Means a lot 2 the 'Hearer'. And most times, it is Less Nervously Received than 'I Love yu' Hi Kennee, I think I missed this earlier... but it really hits home to me so I wanted to reply to it now... What you said is so profound and yet so simple! I really "feel" this... and I'm going to hard copy it so I can put it in my journal of awesome truths... |

I mail special people all the time... Just to let them know I appreciate them... It's nothing more, nothing less... A small gesture and a lil acknowledgement... it does brighten peoples day some.
On the flip side, if you act like an azz... I'll be the first to let ya know! |

Love isn't a word you say to every Tom,Dick and Harry,if you truly know the meaning of love. You like people for who there are, what there can do and all that.

If one considers it to be flirting, then we all on this site are flirts, cos a good number of persons on this site still have their lovers around them, but still looking for soulmate or whatever on dating site. Dating sites are as good as network flirting.

Love isn't a word you say to every Tom,Dick and Harry,if you truly know the meaning of love. You like people for who there are, what there can do and all that. "Like"... 1) to be pleased with; enjoy 2) to wish 3) preferences; tastes "Love"... 1) strong affection or liking for someone or something 2) a passionate affection for one of the opposite sex 3) the object of such affection; sweetheart According to Webster's a strong liking can be love... so I guess it's a matter of intensity and preference... thank you for inspiring... |

Dating sites are as good as network flirting. are these lovers literal or figurative? I like this... dating sites are as good as network flirting... so... just by being here and interacting we are flirting with each other... awesome... I never thought of it like this before... so, I can finally relax about being misconstrued by keeping it simple... I "love" how you opened my eyes like this, Solace... |
