she reads dime store philosophers and thinks music is a religion. takes her sermons from the tiny speakers of her over priced hybrid. her favorite thing to say is, que sera sera though she can never let anything just be. i am her guilty pleasure, her go to her, here daddy, take this! he never seems to mind too much as long as she is appropriately dressed and on time on Sundays. (he, the former deacon, the deposed parish counselor is on his second stint at Betty Ford. trying to sober -up for the impending litigation. three have come forward, i’m guessing there will be more, if one is inclined to believe his now estranged wife. and it looks like everyone does, donations are at an all-time high. nothing like a good sex scandal to ruffle the feathers of the flock. but even if truth trumps clever, if clever ever trips you, it’s hard not to fall.) she used to tell her friends “i’m ****ing a poet” i guess she thought it meant something, or maybe i wanted it to; either way, she gives me much to write about. until today, that is, today she knocked, and like with god, i was either too smart or too dumb to answer. kc `13 |

Yes, we are... and I'm gonna go with too smart....que sera sera... smart it is...only because you say so. (if you haven't, go to the 'I feel like feeling awful' thread and listen to the version I posted there (que sera sera) it's kind of haunting.) |

kc, since i've listened to many of your spoken words, i can't read any of these now
without hearing your voice. it adds an amazing aspect that the words alone, although magnificent, can't. makes me enjoy your pieces all the more. thank you so much for sharing these. and i love this one, too. :) |

Yes, work in progress here.
The more I learn, the more I learn there is more to learn. Each person in my life teaches me something about myself. It is painful, exasperating, enlightening and awesome all the time. great write |
