I've never cried...Not because I didn't have reasons, I just don't know that response.

But mine is probably more due to injury than anything else, my brain just doesn't compute certain things anymore and crying is one of them.

Could be that too, no? Past injury? Or maybe they're just sociopaths waiting for their next victim...Lucky you, they're usually pretty picky.smokin

Rarely?...i don't know, but in my workplace where i'm the only female, i see them crying,..more often than me...so, yes they do cry frequently than me....usually over lovelife issues...i know, they use my kleenex..but when i see a man cry, i'm like, wow, that's a real man,no pretensions...to be able to show emotions in public, that takes bravery...so that's fine with me...just dont bawl,ok?

The last time I cried was at the vet, and it was out of frustration that I couldn't figure out what was wrong with my cat. They brought some young thing out to talk, but she didn't know squat about anything. I suggested (ordered) this and that and got him back to health. This one woman with a dog across from me was staring. Now, that is what should be a topic.

brought up not to cry in front of others not to show a weakness but what happens behind closed doors is where a man is really able to show how he feels

How many women cry or bawl in public without a major attempt at not crying in public? Very few. Yet some do it for the attention. thats a different subject.

Not showing strong emotions is normal and maybe even good. If someone said something that made me very angry, should I let it all out?

I don't cry in public or lash out when I am angry because I make others uncomfortable and we feel we look foolish. Including ladies.

But when we (men) are devastated or defeated, we prefer to crawl into the fetal position in private or in the arms of the most trusted woman in our lives. If we don't have a mom or a trusted mate or friend, we cry alone. We don't crawl in the arms of our trusted buddy like a girl can.

And, to be honest, not having a trusted female in our lives maybe the reason we are in the fetal position to begin with.

I need chocolate now. :-(

men are taught as they grow up that girls only cry. If they fall and start to cry it is usually said you are a boy don't cry.

Men do not cry outwardly. its in the genes. That why men get frustrated usually many a times ...

As far as I know it's a hormonal issue. Women, by necessity have a much greater fluctuation in their hormonal levels over time, and tears are the fastest way to flush the excess from the system. A tearful female would also garner attention from males.
A tearful man, on the other hand, would be less likely to bring home the bacon, as firstly he wouldn't be able to see it, and secondly, he'd have released all of that useful composure and aggression into his hankie. Result: his hungry, and probably tearful female is having dinner with joe next door.
It's just biology x evolution.
