I just wondered...does Mingle have chat rooms? I haven't been able to find anything.

The forums are the "chat rooms".

Mingle2 also has its own 'Instant Messaging' for one-on-one action. But justme659 is correct, Mingle2 uses the forum set-up, which makes it much easier to assimilate.
