I am sure by now that everyone has heard about the "hoax" or his so called girlfriend. I actually live in Notre Dame Country so everyone here has a different view point on this....what is yours?

i think he was behind the hoax to make an excuse for his poor playing in the NC game I actually think he was behind this but I think it was for sympathy votes for the Heisman Trophy. I have also wondered if he is a homosexual but can't come out of the closet yet because of him being so popular of a player. I say if you are gay, just say. It is no ones business what he does when he is off the field. I do think he is behind this though and I do think his parents knew also. Its a sad but sick situation. |

The truth of the biggest non-story this year lies in-between the extremes. I don't think he was in on the scam, but he certainly used it to his advantage when it came to the press. He's playing the "naive young man" angle to cover his ***. That being said...no matter what the truth is, he will still be viewed as a meathead. This whole thing is like a bad 80s movie, cheesy but delightfully entertaining.
And...Jack Swarbrick looked like a complete *** at that press conference. |

I totally agree with you...Notre Dame always sweeps everything under the rug. The press conference was a joke, I was like WTH was that? I guess to be totally honest, we will never really know what happened. It is like everything else at ND, sooner or later...it just fades away! |
