'Guns Across America' group to sponsor Statehouse rally
Springfield IL Events Calendar By JASON NEVEL The State Journal-Register Posted Jan 16, 2013 @ 10:00 PM Last update Jan 16, 2013 @ 11:19 PM Second Amendment advocates plan to rally outside the state Capitol Saturday as part of a nationwide demonstration designed to discourage lawmakers from supporting tougher gun restrictions. The rally begins at noon near the Abraham Lincoln statue along Second Street. A pre-rally is scheduled for 10 a.m. at the Curve Inn, 3219 S. Sixth Street Road. A post-rally also will be held at the Curve Inn. About 300 people have confirmed on Facebook and another 600 invitations were sent out, she said. People are encouraged to bring pro-gun signs. The rallies are sponsored by the website “Guns Across America.” Sangamon County Sheriff , a Republican, said he supports more strenuous background checks and increased school security. If you are for gun control, then you are not against guns, because the guns will be needed to disarm people. So it’s not that you are anti-gun. You’ll need the police’s guns to take away other people’s guns. So you’re very Pro-Gun, you just believe that only the Government (which is, of course, so reliable, honest, moral and virtuous…) should be allowed to have guns. There is no such thing as gun control. There is only centralizing gun ownership in the hands of a small, political elite and their minions. |

I must have missed the part that stated, BYOB or liquor for sale. If I was reeeeealy concerned there would be alcohol there, I'd go see for myself. Give us an update. |

I am concerned for others many people go there, Whenever I pass that place. it is usually crowded and they party. Tavern/Inn usually means alcohol Drinking. Duh... alcohol and Angry people don't go well together. Crazy acting angry haters will be there. |
