Well Stacie Halas, a teacher in Oxnard, CA and by all reports apparently a fine teacher, was outed over old porn videos she did when she was young, desperate, broke and not in the best frame of mind.

Oxnard wants to fire her over her past because it is a distraction.
Ms. Halas wants to be able to keep her job and career.

It's a bit of dilemma.

Hers would be the class I would soooo look forward to being in.

I say give her a break.

She lost her job and her court appeal today.

Although I understand that it was a monumental
distraction. I'd have hope that the whole issue
would die down and that she would be able to
teach again. I don't think that her past should
haunt her forever or make it impossible for her
to find a job teaching kids.

Hopefully she will be able to find another job
professionally and move on someplace where they
are not so porn obsessed.

It still shows that double standard Puritan throw back we have in our society. Everyone knows sex happens but don't let it get out that you do it...

Sean Loftis, a Florida substitute teacher who starred in gay porn films, under the psudeoname Collin O'Neal, has lost his teaching job after his X-Rated antics came to light.

Loftis, who also found fame as a CNN iReporter, was suspended from his Florida teaching post, after claims that he had violated a regulation requiring faculty members to act in a manner "that will reflect credit upon themselves".

Loftis filed a complaint with the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), but thus far has failed to get back in the classroom.
