in this day and age of 'casual' sex becoming more acceptable and encouraged,,, I think its less and less common for people to be cheating because fewer actually attach any kind of commitment to their sexual encounters in the first place

however, I do concur with others, that we have probably nurtured males in western society to be less inclined to 'commit' to sexual encounters,, and so they are probably more comfortable with cheating and less judged by their peers for it

I think we raise women to be more competitive and womens hormones tend to make them feel more connected to sexual encounters,,,so they are more inclined to commit , probably less comfortable with the idea of cheating and probably more judged by their peers for it,,,

Some men, when they are in a relationship with a woman, will tell her that he is also seeing someone else, at same time, and because he is being honest, she should stay in the relationship and it should be acceptable.

hmmm...perhaps the men and women who cheat the most are the type that tire of the home cooked cuisine and look for a quick fix take-out meal.
