Do you ever have a core belief that you would defend to the death.

And then, after thinking it over after screaming and yelling at others, see possible errors in your beliefs?

I don't hold any beliefs.

Just a ton of ideas, and ideas are the easiest to change if they are wrong.

Can you give us an example of what you mean?

Yes this has happened to me a few times.I used to be dead set against people living together and swore if my girls ever did it I would never set foot in their house. Well one of them is living with her Bf and I helped her move and settle in. I was wrong and she is very happy and I am happy I got rid of that stupid judgmental, old fashioned attitude.

Then you know how I feel, but I still don't condone it, I just don't "fight" it.

Nope, no examples, don't want this thread to turn into a brawl. Just was curious if anyone else changed their minds on things.

Well, ok. None that I can think of at the moment.

Is that what you are going through too?
Being a parent is hard and letting go is even harder. But sometimes we just have to.

Nope, my daughter already got a tattoo years ago. Not about family. About trying to impose your morals on someone else. You can't legislate morals. Everyone's different.

That's good to see you say. Did you change your mind about gay marriage or something like that?

You are exactly right. Everyone is different.... and every situation too. Not always, but I can believe that someone's morals can and do change given different situations, and time.

I would say yes there is the odd time I will doubt all I believed. I would give an example but if I do it would upset the men on this site; so I will not divulge it. I learn something new just about every day but I don't scream and yell at others if they don't agree with my beliefs; I just walk away rather than get upset.

Personally, None yet...but ive seen friends with similar situation and oftentimes we'd discuss and wonder why the change of mind, and end up with no clear logic, especially matters that concerns the heart..
