Okay its time for your New Years resolutions! How are you going to change your life?

I have a new years resolution. I'm turning my life around. I'm going to stop taking any of that bad news seriously. Most of it is spin and all of it is out of my control.

In fact, I'm going to stop taking anything seriously.

I'm tired of the media whores attempting to manipulate the public's shock and horror at some story that may not even be true or accurate.

I have one resolution and it's not to have any resolutions cause it's the only one I can keep.

I have no hope for this year; therefore no resolution. Just decided just to give up on everything. What is the point if I can't change anything despite all the effort I have put in. Just another boring dull year ahead for me.

My resolution is to live as small and cheaply as I can. I started it two months ago by moving into the truck I work in. I pay no rent or mortgage and no utilities.

Hey Navygirl... that is sort of my attitude except I decided not to take any negative thing that happens seriously.

I am just going to observe the crazies, the crying and waling, the complainers, and just keep on trucking and enjoying every minute possible.

Enjoy the moment....

Think of something more original.

That one is the coward's way out. A person who is afraid of failure will not get anywhere.

Be bold enough to try something even if you might fail.

I am just frustrated. I am a good worker but I just can't seem to get any employer to give me a chance because of my damn age. frustrated

Of course you are talking about a good paying position probably. In my little town they will hire anyone who is willing to work.

BTW that is age discrimination. You might mention to a potential employer that you notice that all their employees are a lot younger than you and that it might reflect well on them and show that they are not discriminating against a person's age if they were to hire you.

Also mention that you are in good health (if you are) and that you are looking for long term employment (if you are).

Yep; I did mention the age factor to the City of Calgary and the Government of Alberta that is seems odd that only 30 year olds were beig hired. I said if they doubted me; to take a good long look. I do mention that I am in good health and good phsyical condition. The irony is that all the 30 year olds they are hiring are constantly calling in sick. LOL

Keep at them. Sometimes the younger women are hired just because some horny old man wants to flirt with them.

I recommend downtown Atlanta at about 5pm if you decide to go for your PhD.

I decided it was time to learn a second language. Considering my Rosetta Stone arrived on the 2nd, and I've been putting in two hours a day, I'm well on my way!!
