Happy Texas Independence Day!   Cold here down town, I'm at the Med Center  They have access to computers in the waiting area.. Waiting for my daughter to get settled in her room she had an accident broke ribs and punctured a lung.  WOW, car accident? What happened?   |

It WAS a beautiful day here...but pretty chilly today, especially with the wind. You almost HAD to stand in the sun!
I joined some friends to toast Texas Independence Day at a local brewery...  then celebrated a kind of personal independence day with some crawfish etouffee, which I hadn't had in AGES!  A good day for a Possum! |

No matter what today is like I'm not venturing out of the house..

Morning all... No matter what today is like I'm not venturing out of the house.. Hope you are OK, do what you need & enjoy. Don, I'm all good now meds the doctor gave me worked instantly..... Been sleeping like a log...No hurting... Just the last few weeks have been a bit trying.... A dear friend of mine was at the end of her battle with cancer. So been going to see her as much as I can. Friday got the call she was fading fast was able to get off work and spend the last 3 hours with her and was there as she took her finally walk with God.......Just glad I was there with her the night before while she was still awake till Hospice came and got her... We were able to joke and laugh she always had a smile even to the end one brave woman...

Friday got the call she was fading fast was able to get off work and spend the last 3 hours with her and was there as she took her finally walk with God.......Just glad I was there with her the night before while she was still awake till Hospice came and got her... We were able to joke and laugh she always had a smile even to the end one brave woman... I'm sorry for your loss, Kristi.

Appreciate it Glenda & Don.... it is tough when your friends that are younger go before you...when they had so much more living to do.... But...to know she will no longer be in pain makes it easier, for she was in so much pain...
