Tell me if it's wrong or that I shouldn't hide that I'm a heavy girl to the guys? Most men don't even give me the time of day because they view my picture (I don't think I'm that ugly) and won't even write back or give me a chance to show I'm a great person. I feel like I need to hide my weight until he gets to know me and like me then tell him I'm heavy. What say you people?

Why should you have to hide anything? If they guy does not like you for all of you, then is that guy really worth your time? I don't think so.

not atall, be yourself and you'll find the right one i am really young for all these advices though lol but yea personally being big doesnt matter to me

You know I am a heavy person also, I let a person know right off the bat if you are looking for a skinny barbie doll type then don't let me waste your time, but if you want someone that has a good inside that might be a little heavy then okay

Part of me agrees with you and the other part gets really tired of constant rejection....and guys think they get rejected lots.........NOT!!! Sometimes I just want to give up the quest for a partner and just live alone and be lonely the rest of my life. I've been alone for 7 years now (by choice) but now feel I would like to have a quality man in my life to share everything with......man is it ever hard these days......or it's my age, weight ??? I just don't get it.......when I was in my 20's finding a guy was like picking them off a tree....hehehe.......but anymore it's so painful. Have all older men gone unrealistic in their expectations of a partner............I don't care what a guy looks like as long as his heart is good.

this is going to be hard for me but I am by no means any barbie doll, but I have lost alot of weight and then joined some different sites thinking I was looking for the love of my life. Now that I have had some dates I too am not sure what it is that guys are looking for . They say LTR, then they want to get you in bed, YIKES!!!!!!!! I did not loose all that weight to go directly to bed. I am now looking for friendship and build on that if it is indeed possible, although I have thought about putting the weight back on and hiding.....sick huh. But I want to be honest also.

never give up on trying to find happiness, there is someone out there for everyone, when you least expect it someone will come along and pick up the pieces that these guys tore apart, it will be thier loss.

Im2fun, I here you loud and clear!! I know exactly how you feel. I have lost and gained weight so many times I've lost count. I'm sick of failing........so I've tried to accept myself the way I am and do pretty much......it's everyone else that has the problem. It's pretty sad how a person is treated just because they are overweight. I suppose the people that don't treat you very nice or just ignore you just because your overweight aren't worth your/my time anyway........but society now a days is really disjointed.....to put it nicely. I guess if love finds me that would be nice and if it doesn't guess it wasn't meant to be for some reason.

IT SHOULD NOT MATTER WHAT YOU LOOK LIKE. HECK LOOK AT ME, I'M NO PRIZE, BUT SOMEONE LOVES ME, FOR ME. I KNOW PEOPLE WHO ONLY GO FOR LOOKS, AND THEIR RELATIONSHIPS NEVER LAST. IF SOME ONE DOES NOT WANT TO BE WITH YOU BECAUSE THE WAY YOU LOOK, THEN YOU SHOULD NOT WANT THEM ANYWAY. THEY ARE TOO JUDGEMENTAL, AND THEY DID NOT TAKE THE TIME TO GET TO KNOW YOU.

Never hide your body, especially on the net on a dating site. Ive heard too many horror stories of guys meeting women who either lied about their weight or never shown it in the first place. These guys actually walked up to them when they were to meet and walked away. Cruel, yes, but they were also hurt that they were "lied" to with a pic that was 20 years old and 50 lbs lighter.

It isn't what's on the outside that counts. It's what comes from within. If the inside is sincere and is cared about, then it doesn't matter if you look as if you've been hit by a mack truck. Whoever it is will see you for what you are.

I'm gonna have to agree with what everyone's saying...First, Rufus, I don't think you're ugly by any means. I think you're a beautiful woman, with a glowing smile. :)

But we can all sit here and say "people are shallow" and everything else, but I think almost everyone will agree that initial attraction means something.

NEVER hide who you are...what you look like, or anything else, but after seeing the pictures on your profile, maybe put the one of you and your dog as the main picture.

Tips for photos (from a pro photog): Angle your body and face slightly...photos shot straight on to the camera end up looking like mug shots.

SMILE!!! You have a beautiful smile, and you should show it off! Think of the one thing in this life that makes you happiest...and smile.
