Men...simple question
Would you be happy to receive tools for Christmas??? (yea I have a female-type agenda for asking - but not a bad one) |

USEFUL tools are always a gift. Useless ones... eh...

Yeah, that'd be pretty cool actually. Like... if someone got me a nice carjack I'd be pumped.

tools are great present
but they are a manly present now I'm afraid men will think I am manly and either avoid me or burp in my presence |

You talking about the portable compressor with the built in light that plugs into your cigarette lighter? Those are good to have on hand. Think most new cars automatically come with them now.

If a woman got me tools for Christmas then I would be pretty stoked.
Obviously, if she got me tools that I really needed I would be happier than just... having tools. I own almost nothing. I like it this way. But tools are good to have and I like taking stuff apart. It's really a question of how much you're looking to spend and what type of lifestyle the guy lives. When I was doing demolition I would have loved to have some demo equipment (new mini-sledges, an 80 pound sledge, hammers that weren't fitted together with duct tape and hope). I don't think you can really go wrong though. But I'd get some more opinions. I'm so insanely easy to please. |

I don't honestly think tools are manly as there are many women that are handy and I am one of them. |

As long as they are good tools. No budget stuff like Harbor Freight, Black and Decker, Ryobi.... I like tools. :) I'm a tool.

Actually I have some great Black and Decker tools as well at Ryobi that I have had for 13 years and still work just fantastic. You just have to know which type of tools to get in these names. I actually bought a store brand table saw from Rona which is a local hardware store and its been fantastic. |
