"Person of Interest."

I've been watching the series via Netflix videos.

I like it but I saw an episode yesterday that I didn't like where our hero has the drop on a deadly assassin and he makes a stupid move. It is a move that I would not even make. He gets too close to the guy even though he has a gun on him and the assassin does some unbelievable Vulcan death grip on him and takes control of the situation disarming our hero.

Now I hate to see a scene where our hero does something stupid, that I would not even do. If they want the villain to get the drop on the hero they should really do a better job without making the hero look so stupid.

Bad scene. A bad writer or director went to work that day.

Rule #1: When you are face to face with a deadly assassin you don't get in their face up close and personal. Stay out of arms length, don't take your gun or eyes off of them.

If they reach for you.... shoot them. geeeze. Now he is going to torture you... and you deserve it for being so..

the story would end too soon. it is common for people to make tactical errors in Hollywood so they can squeeze more drama out of their story line.

example... and this absolutely murdered Star Trek for me...

Next Generation, (I hate Captain Picard with a PASSION! Captain Kirk would KICK IS EFFEMINATE AZZ ACROSS THE STARS!!!)

When they had first contact with the Borg. This is a Species like the Alien from Alien. They kill, they eat, they reproduce. they go dormant until some hapless idiot stumbles across them and then another planet is infested. And on top of that this is an enemy that adapts to your attacks. They will not reason with you, They will not negotiate. They just consume. Q told that bald pu$$y that. So what does he do? Stuns them and bails out on them. Captain Kirk would have laid every weapon they had to bear on them and utterly blasted that ship to pieces! And then he would have used a tractor beam to take the pieces and dump them in a nearby star! THEN he would have gone home. So then later on the Borg come calling and head right for earth! If anything Captain Conehead should have been put on trial for incompetence! Leading a threat like that to earth. Letting them have access to his data banks. The moment they ingressed his ship he should have began blasting away! That bald headed fairy gave up a tactical advantage and likewise tipped humanity's hand to the enemy!

So remember, Tactical errors are common in Hollywood. In the real world that assassin would have died PDQ once spotted.

Its also like I say, A good Bad Guy always gets away!

Yeh, they should have blasted the borg.

But I liked it when Picard came back and with a full understanding of the Borg mind. I liked watching his conversation with the captured Borg.

I liked when they uploaded a virus to him and set him free to infect the other Borg.

I love the series, but not so keen on this woman in it now. There were a few episodes where she suddenly got all the action, all the smart stuff and fighting and Reese started to look like a wuss, not doing anything macho at all anymore.

I dislike the Hollywood and the network's tendency to create dark depraved super villains.

On the Mentalist, you have "Red John"
On Bones, you have "The Grave digger." and Gormagon the cannibal.
And Sherlock Holmes has Moriarty.

Just give me a series where the good guys solve the crime and get the bad guys and stop trying to scare people with depravity!

Anyone else think the show has too many redundant characters? They have (well.. had) 2 detectives working with them, 2 characters with intimate knowledge of the machine, and 2 bad-arses that speak softly and carry guns.

I think this female partner of Reese is redundant. I suppose they needed more men to watch the show?
This woman with knowledge of the machine is probably the prelude to a new story line.

Yea, that was a pretty good episode.

They should have let Root out earlier and given her a gun.
It would have saved them a lot of time and effort.

Now we gotta wait for season 4. Can't wait to find out which direction they're going to take with this now.
I mean, Finch without Mr Reese, unthinkable!
