God was there, God is always there. No things don't always go the way we wished and or not the easy way or without hurt. But why question if God was there? Where is thou faith?

Why do we value this mortal life so much? Not saying we should all kill ourselves or not live in a healthy form of way. But why worry this people were killed? They are sleeping now awaiting the second coming of our Christ. No more pain, no more hunger, no more sorrow, what is so bad about that?

the bad part is the fear and suffering that mere children had to go through in their last moments of life

the grace is believing they are in a better place now where such things arent even a possibility,

Oh, no please don't get me wrong. I have sympathy for what they had to endure for that bit of time. But nevertheless that little bit of time doesn't measure up to an eternal life of love and great wellbeing never having to go through anything like that ever again.

But they aren't specifically in a better place now, in context of if you were speaking of Heaven. Yes, they are in a better place, now that they are no longer in any form of pain... but they haven't quite made it to their final destination yet.

1 Thessalonians 4:16
16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first

If we just automatically went to either Heaven, or remained death. There would be no such thing as "dead in Christ".

WHERE WAS GOD??? Where ever you left him. Was it in the bookshelf, was it at the temple or mass or church after your sabbath OR was He in your heart making your calling and election sure just in case an event happened like this. So that the next thing you will hear when he does return is Him welcoming you Home.
