"Whiskey Lullaby"/lyrics..... Brad Paisley.....Thought this thread could use a sad country song...Don't hit me! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7gV3g9LCvPc I love this song. Weekends during this summer when my friend I got paid for doing demolition we used to blast that in his studio and down whisky and write. I'm always down for country that isn't bubble-gum bull~~~~. If someone's not dead, about to die, or drinking his or herself to death, it's not country. Hey, for real... does anybody know a Radiohead song that's uplifting? I like Radiohead for the most part... but aside from "Anyone Can Play Guitar" they pretty much all make me feel like I want to die. Haha. Edited because "Electioneering" just makes me want to spray-paint stuff. So they have two songs that aren't sad as hell. Downface - Ocean http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YON7FPWKo58 I found this band randomly through Napster (yeah, Napster) and they had one amazing album... and one REALLY amazing and depressing song that's in my favorites. |

I was WAITING to see how long it would take for a Pretty Hate Machine song to land in here.
Thanks for keeping it real, Fear. |

God, I'm loving this thread ! Neko Case Chimney falls and lovers blaze Thought that I was young Now I've freezing hands and bloodless veins As numb as I've become I'm so tired I wish I was the moon tonight Last night I dreamt I had forgotten my name 'Cause I had sold my soul but awoke just the same I'm so lonely I wish I was the moon tonight God blessed me, I'm a free man With no place free to go I'm paralyzed and collared-tight No pills for what I fear This is crazy I wish I was the moon tonight Chimney falls and lovers blaze Thought that I was young Now I've freezing hands & bloodless veins As numb as I've become I'm so tired, I wish I was the moon tonight How will you know if you found me at least 'Cause I'll be the one, be the one, be the one With my heart in my lap I'm so tired, I'm so tired I wish I was the moon tonight |

Kristofferson's "Sunday Morning Coming Down" is a great example of conveying tone. I absolutely adore that song.
I also refuse to listen to it on Sunday mornings. Haha. |

Nature, nurture heaven and home, sum of all, and by them, driven...Angel, Angel, what have I done? I've faced the quakes, the wind, the fire...Why can't I cross this river? |

Puscifer rocks! Also, I love that there's a T-Rex robot as the first picture and love even more that the explanation that it's Grimlock is the top rated comment.
