Technically, a parents influence generally ends at around 6 years old, then peer grouping generally has more influence on a child's behaviour

Interesting... who then is the boss at home? The parents or the child?

I agree, the charge should be against those who commit the act.

Not necessarily in agreement about housing them with hardened adults though.

Charged as adults
1st degree......Death penalty or life imprisonment

2nd degree .....19–25 years with clean record

they won't spend these sentences in the kiddie pool. They will have to meet the sharks.

its actually at the discretion of the prosecutor,,

minorities are more likely to be transferred to adult though

but unless the minor meets tha mandatory age in their state, the prosecutor or a judge might look at the childs record and the potential for rehabilitation and choose not to

Beaver Falls Police believe it is just a matter of time before they find and arrest two 14-year-old boys as well.

Meanwhile, friends and family of the victim, 22-year-old Kayla Peterson, are wondering why the she was killed over something petty.

“There was only one shot fired and it went through the gate and took her life,” Peterson’s boyfriend, William Bailey, said.

According to police, two 14-year-old boys and a 13-year-old boy followed Bailey home from the store asking for cigarettes.

“M y girlfriend came outsid e to see what was going on because there was commotion and she told them to go get a job and quit running the streets and quit bumming cigarettes. The kid was standing over in the alleyway and he just shot at her,” Bailey said.

One of the 14-year-old boys, Todavia Cleckley, posted a picture on Facebook of himself posing with two handguns.

The other 14-year-old boy has been identified as Marcus Velasquez.

“It’s hard. She has a 23-month-old baby that’s left with nothing,” Trish Stuck said.

Now her kid has no Mommy.>>>

I say, prosecute the negligent parents along with these demons.

Anyone with information is asked to call police.

The same type that raised Trevon Martin.

or Zimmerman,,,

except without the judge and judges influence, of course,,,

Zimmerman wasn't a druggie and thug who was on suspension from school.

no he was a repeated assault suspect who always somehow 'got off' without going to jail,,,,

Actually it was only once and he was never charged or convicted as Martin was since he was SUSPENDED for DRUGS and was a known THUG.

Zimmerman for President!
unless he was your son, brother or friend. Racism and hatred often reduce ones judgment to that of an animal. Why someone would praise the murder of a young man is beyond logic, compassion and reflects the state of mind of someone in need of severe guidence.

Im sure you know it Ras, but for other observers its called

'dehumanization', its the same way slavery has been able to flourish in the past,, make the human being an object or thing or 'animal' and its easier to justify sub par treatment,,,,,

in Treyvon's case, participating in graffiti and smoking pot along with the butt kicking he gave his stalker,,,,,suffices to make the victim a mere 'animal'

in this case, that the kids shot and killed someone is enough to make them animals without knowing anything else about them or their past

I agree. Our society is quite dysfuntional. And id like to think it will change. But in order for it to change, one must first diagnose the illness. After this is acomplished, a new illness surfaces and mixes with denial thereby creating a new dilema. Our future is not as bright as id wish it to be. To many seeds of a mental death long left to fester. That behavior manifests itself through the behavior one sees on the news everyday. The recent lunatics shooting people in malls and other places is the manifestation of a rotting minset in our society. The reason we will not fix or even begin to address the many ills is that we have no love for one another. Yes we love our families. But our country is not a country. Its one giant corporation obsessed with consumption. We speak of justice for all, but would one give justice to someone one despises or hates? We will fail for to reasons, no love, nor no love for justice.
