I am 42. My boyfriend is 37. He is way more mature than me. Do you think the age gap matters? not in your case, I think maturity matters. You could have easily found a 40 or 50 year old who was not quite as mature as you are too. Age correlates to maturity , but it doesnt define it

I think as long as two people connect then age is only a number. As long as they are old enough to no what they want.

Age gaps matter less the older you get. As a rule, girls mature faster than boys, but somewhere along the way men catch up and often surpass women's maturity level. My 37 y/o fwb is more mature than I am at 47 in some ways, and he is years ahead of my 51 y/o soon to be ex. Age is really just a number once you become an adult IMO.
