Our existence dies right along!!!

Smack dead!

Nothing simpler! NO MYSTERY THERE!!!

What part of 'die', 'going out of existence', is hard tp get here?!?!?

It is 'our' existence thaty dies, OVER! NO MORE! FINITO!!!

'OUR' existence is intrinsically tied to 'ego': this illusive identity machine. This illusion making machine. IT DIES PERIOD!!!

As 'scttrbrain' very wisely writes:

"... Well, our bodies die, wither away to nothing. But, our souls or our spirit...now that is something yet to be seen. I hope to see or be somewhere that is real, and not in my imagination..."

I agree! Soul and spirit yet to be seen. But that is not 'US', 'I', or 'ME' as I know me, this identity.

Soul and spirit MIGHT be in me, I trust, but IF it is, it is not 'me' the identity. It is the mystery that survives 'me' if anything.

I also like the part 'scttrbrain' wrote about somewhere REAL, and not in our imagination (illusion of what is real).
I don't know, but I doubt very much the 'I' gets there, like 'scttrbrain' hopes, since I firmly think the 'I' dies period. But I do trust that the 'somewhere' soul and spirit occupy, has always been, is now, and forever will be REAL like we couldn't even imagine as 'mortals'.

I certainly am not insensitive to the question you raise '1000000000'.
As mortals, it is a fundamental question of our survival instinct.
I just wonder sometimes, if the amount of thought and energy we spend on our 'after existence', wouldn't be better invested on 'existing now'!!!
Of course, that imply shifting the focus away from 'me', and placing it on 'others'.

Could it be that simple?!?!? I wonder?

I do think that when our bodies die our "Energy" goes back to where it came from, it goes back to be part of the universal
"Energy"

enlightenment is lightening up

letting go

of the questions , what, and why and how

get lost in the howLESSness

wash your hands when you come to this table

and leave everything outside

be in the marvelous moment that you 'are'

if you connect your child to nature...if you can educate her with the nature of things around her so that she see's the natural (and not so natural)cycles of things , you will give her a profound awareness that will be a strong and multipurposeful tool/instrument that she can use forever....

give her the education and tools so that she can evolve her own mind , who know's one day she could be the one who masters cold fusion...

or hold's the key to instantaneous awakening!!flowerforyou

'bl8ant'!!!

That's the angle!!! Forget the hopeless 'ME'!!!

Our bodies (even if the 'I's' disagree, and deny it) serve to educate the soul. Educate, as in let the soul record and instantaneoulsy feed the 400 billions bits/seconds of information back to humans about their own status in the universe. A soul that belongs to no 'I'. A soul that is nothing other than this universal and eternal 'energy', 'invisible' just cited! MAYBE!!!

I love it !!! :)

Ok,so let's really think outside the box, that we call our universe. Let's say that we are the embodiment of some unknown energy. The nature of that energy is to be in constant motion. Now lets say that this energy has an intelligence. Now we have an intelligent being in constant motion. Pure energy that has nothing to stop it. It moves and as it moves it stops to experience an existence in any dimension or galaxy or time that it comes across. It does this by becoming part of whatever nature that realm holds. So we as human, might only be a physical form to house the intelligence of pure energy, for a time. When the temporary physical degrades or ceases, the energy moves on. Perhaps it uses the spaces between matter of this universe to traverse along the threads of time itself.

And someday, I'm going to be a writer - well I mean a published writer. yea - that's my goal - whaddya think - Sci Fi?

I'll buy the book Red

I have always used the analogy of the ocean because it is what makes sense to me.

This universal energy is as the ocean and it is all that is and it has a consciousness. To know itself it must have interraction hence us ... waves in the ocean individualized for a time as these personalities we have come to know. When my body expires, like the wave, I will sink back into the ocean. No more illusion of separate.

But it is all still consciousness and we experience what we choose to perhaps.

If we have a concept that supports a judgment day I expect that is what will will be experienced.

If we have a concept that we stay separate entities and continue to grow and learn and interract as we do now but without the confines of the physical then that may be what we experience after this body (which is just a concept too) expires.

If I believe in the notion of nothing separate then I will just sink back into the all. And perhaps part of the learnings of this 'wave' known as Sherrie will find their way into another wave somewhere down the line of our perception of linear time ...hence these feelings of knowing without knowing and these recognitions of the familiar in others

Hmmm just pondering aloud for a moment.

HAL-9000: Will I dream?
Dr. Chandra: Of course you will. All intelligent beings dream. Nobody knows why.
HAL-9000: Dr. Chandra, will I dream?
Dr. Chandra: I don't know.
HAL-9000: What is going to happen?
Dave: Something wonderful.
HAL-9000: I'm afraid.
Dave: Don't be. We'll be together.
HAL-9000: Where will we be?
Dave: Where I am now.

flowerforyou  smooched Exactly, and so well put. A familiarity, I am sure many of us know. I feel that completely, and mindfully.
