How did you discover your love of ANIME!!!!


I was first introduced to anime by watching Robotech. I loved the story line and the characters. I grew as an adult w/o realizing there was other great anime out there or what anime was. It was not until my mid twenties, that I discovered anime when I began searching for the series Robotech. I was told that it was recently taken off the market, but I was introduced to other great titles such as LAIN, Iria, Gundam Wing, and etc. I was hooked from that moment on.............

I like the old school anime that used to come on the Sci-fi channel late night. I have a lot on vhs from years ago.

Yeah, I have to agree w/ on that sexyazzkay. Somethings never go out style! It also nice to see how far anime as really developed over the years!

Sailor moon always freaked me out....especially when they move their mouths and the voice comes out 1.8 seconds later.....ok now Im gonna have nightmares!!!!

i too saw the entire Macross saga on it's 1st US release....have a bunch on tape too. nice. got my sister hooked on it as well.

Omg, my daughter who is 15 loves Anime. She has books from the floor to the ceiling, and loves to draw it and has even won anime drawing contests. She and her friends sit and watch Japanese movies with English subtitles. (I'm like whaaaaaaaat) It is very popular at her high school and they even have an Anime club. She has been into it for years now, and I just don't get it.

sailor moon was actually the first anime i saw too but i had no idea what the hell anime was back then. i actually got into it from playing final fantasy games with my brother when i was younger.

How did that Sailor Moon song go?

growing up, man there were so many great cartoons, both anime and non anime alike...I watched speed racer, but robotech was the one that really got me into anime, then I realized there were a whole buncha other anime out there. I was a big fan of fatal fury and street fighter back in the day 2, and I watched the anime moviez for those way back, did them justice.

Ninja Scroll 1 and 2

Ninja Scroll was freakin awsome. So was Ghost in the Shell

Angelsing, not all anime is alike. In fact, anime is simply the medium used. There is a wide range of genre ranging from thrillers, fanasty, sci-fi, comedy, romance, and etc. I recommend Jin-roh. It is a very good thriller. You can easily forget that it is not action movie, but an animated movie.
