I've spent most my life wondering whether my life should be this aimless and lonely. I've done everything I know to do to seek God's will for my life and have come up with nothing. How many years does it take? Was I saved just to live a miserable existence? Sometimes I wonder if I really am saved, because the Bible is pretty specific about saying the spirit will guide, teach, and comfort. What does a christian do when God just doesn't seem to care?

God cares your just not listening! When we forget about ourselves and begin to do selfless acts for our neighbors we begin to hear and understand what we are here for.

How so?

God listens all the time. Just sometimes his timing for it isn't specifically what we had in mind. We feel 5, 10, maybe 20 years is a long time. But when you think of it compared to eternity it's only just a blink of the eye. Be patient and strong in the Lord, he will answer all prayers in his time.

We are put here on earth to love god as ourselves and our neighbors as ourselves. When we focus totally on ourselves we become self absorbed. Not a good place to be. Give your love to your neighbor. It will make you feel complete. The more you give the more you will receive!

I'd say that's all I've ever done. Without peace, however I don't see how to keep from burning out.

You have to give it all up to God. Your loneliness your grief your problems. Give it up to God. Have faith. You are only saved as long as you don't succumb to the devil. He is waiting always to take you to the dark side. Be strong ! Have faith in God. Your reward will be great!

God always cares!

Having faith in God means having faith in Him even when nothing is going the way that you want it to go. That is a lesson that we find in the Old Testament book of Job.

By the way, I didn't have a successful marriage until I was age 34. So, I know what it is like to have to wait for romance.

Having God in my life has given me more of an understanding of unconditional love. I have seen it and witnessed it all through out my life. We are introduce to it with the love of our parents, then in our spouse and finally in our children. There is no time limit as to how long or how short time must be for us. I believe God will strengthen us and comfort us and give us peace, but mostly important. God Will Be With Us Now and Forever!

God cares, but sometimes we don't listen/understand.

Sometimes, it may look like God doesn't care about, but, He cares. We always want God to do what we want, forgetten that we should always ask that His will should be done always in our lives.

Pray to God to give you the peace and strength to enable you to live in his will. And remember his ways are not always the same as ours.

That question got no answer cos there is never a time,a single moment that God does not care! The story of the prodigal son clearly makes us understand how disturbed,heartbroken the Father is whenever His child is not happy...we all at certain times had taken or not made certain decisions,taken certain steps,or are enmeshed in certain sinful habits and are presently facing the aftermath...am just saying...peharps a particular negative habit could be distancing us from GOD and when we pray after repenting we are expecting God to just do it now. It's not as if God cannot do it that way or does not care but we must make ourselves willin and ready as christians and a possitive mindset is important I used to wonder why GOD made the world and created us last until i found out that God ensured there had to provision for Adam and Eve.
He cared even before He created them and even after they disobeyed,He still cared and He has not stopped caring for us all.
