We often find it hard to trust because we've been hurt in the past. People coming out of romantic relationships are especially scared of opening their hearts again. But at the end of the day, you will never know whether someone’s going to hurt you or not. There are no guarantees in life. You can try to protect yourself but unless you make it a full time job, you’re more likely to drive yourself crazy.

This does not apply to everyone. I am not afraid of getting into a new relationship and I do not live in the past or hung up on past hurts. When I get to know a man, everything is judged by what he says and mostly by his actions. They usually prove themselves to be Not the match for me.

Not taking sides or anything, but I tend to agree with toodygirl, hurt or not when the relationship is over it's time to move on and judge the next guy on his own ability to impress and keep me. I've noticed though from conversations I've had with some men on dating sites, if I turn them down they automatically say I'm living in the past, and I need to get over the last guy. But the way I look at it, is, if I see the same basic qualities in the new guy that was in the last one, that's all I need to know to move on from there PDQ. I'm a quick healer, you play the cards you're dealt and if you get a losing hand, you reshuffle and start a new game... just saying..

after all this time and boyfriend insanities and insane boyfriends, I feel confident to say that if u don;t get a little crazy-like it prolly aint' for real..

Sometimes people get so worked up blaming others for the failures in their relationship. I guess its better to start with the man in the mirror, work on yourself and be a better person.
